The Byrd Raven 2 helps usher in a new era for the byrd line as both a refined, second generation version of this popular model and one of the first Byrd knives to feature an upgrade to CTS™ BD1 blade steel. Built on a foundation of full stainless steel liners, the Raven 2’s ergonomic handle is capped by textured G-10 scales that offer an extremely secure, comfortable grip. The handle liners are skeletonized to reduce weight and form the core of the knife’s sturdy LinerLock mechanism. To further reduce weight, the handle features open-backed construction that also allows easy cleaning and maintenance.
On the business end, the Raven 2 boasts a CTS™ BD1 stainless steel blade with the signature byrd “comet-shaped” hole for easy, ambidextrous, one-handed opening. The full-flat-ground blade ensures superior edge geometry and low-friction cutting performance and has a handsome matte tumbled finish. To top it all off, the Raven 2 features a lined lanyard hole and a new four-position hourglass clip with a broad, sturdy base that supports all possible carry positions, including left or right-side tip-up or tip-down carry.

Add to BasketI am a fan of Byrd, fit and finish is great as are the ergos as our friends across the pond would say..... straight out of the box very sharp but putting my own edge on this is a laser at 40 degree combined. Considering like for like in terms of steel I would suggest you get a better knife with Byrd then Spyderco ,for a more budget item. I might be shot down for that but I genuinely think it the case . Perfect service again from HH ??
