Versatile little tool and feels and looks great, well worth the price and comes in handy for a range of jobs from the garden to work plus HH above and beyond in service

    Alox farmer.

Posted by Mark Phillips on 30th Nov 2021

Had farmers/SAKs for years. Bought this latest one for my mates birthday and he says he will carry it forever. Great for around the house and woods. Anywhere else out and about I prefer a tinker or an electrician. All good for legal carry wherever so can be relaxed, and robust, more so than cellidor models. I go through leatherman and spyderco phases but I always come back to the good old Vics. The aesthetics arent the same as the aforementioned, but they're highly utilitarian, affordable, and legal. 30 or 40 years ago anyone carrying a pocket knife would of had slip joints. They were good enough then.

    Farmer sak

Posted by Bobo on 5th Feb 2021

First off service excellent as always. Not a lot to say about the knife. I own a couple of saks ( work champ for bits round the house & camper for kitchen drawer in camper van). They are good reliable tools. Got this for whittling when out on walks, seems to have the right combination of tools and is compact. Appears to be as good as the other knives and can't see any problems with it doing what I bought it for. Also reasonable price for a sturdy bit of kit.

Arrived today & HH and RM services top notch as usual.Craftsmanship as expected, everything fits nicely and backstops make satisfying noises.Lovely presentation of SAK and Alox a delight to see and handle. This will sit comfortably in my pocket when I don't want the Champ on my belt

    My top SAK!

Posted by Martin Atton on 29th Jun 2020

Just ordered another Victorinox Farmert. Now all three of my grandchildren will have one of these iconic models. Beefier than the standard line. Hard wearing Alox scales. Fabulous quality, fit and finish. You can cut a rope, saw a piece of wood, open a bottle, open a can, ream a hole in a piece of timber, undo a large screw, undo a small screw, all with one compact knife. I still think these SAKs are better than most multi tools, and a lot less expensive.

    Best Sak ever!

Posted by Ben on 6th Jun 2020

This is by far my most carried sak. In my opinion it has the most useful array of tools on a sak. The alox scales are great in the hand and look lovely too. When the farmer x comes out, I will get one of those too as the added scissors will only make this knife better.

Still THE BEST Swiss Army knife

Posted by Martin Atton on 7th Apr 2019

My Son has one, my Granddaughter has one and my Grandson is getting one for his birthday! The best combination of tools bar none in an amazingly compact package. I have a Soldiier, the same as the Farmer minus the saw. The Alox scales are tough and durable and the whole range of tools and blade are beefed up relative to the normal officers range. Manufactured to a tremendously high standard and still just about the best value on the planet, in spite of being made in Switzerland, with high labour costs. I carry my 1990 Soldier almost every day and have used it on countless occasions. Even so it is still as good as new. Victorinox may have brought out numerous new flash models, but none will surpass the Farmerr in my opinion. By the way, I still own a German Army issue Victorinox Trooper, another classic, sadly no longer produced.
