    A great everyday SAK

Posted by Chris on 26th Oct 2021

Love this tool. I'm a field engineer (alas, not an electrician) but this has already paid for itself. That electrician blade really is very useful, and I don't miss the can opener/small flat driver much (although many people lament the loss of ability to drive Philips screws). It's tiny and fits discreetly in any pocket. Alox scales are good in the hand and feel like they will take a right beating before showing any signs of wear. I'd echo the common comment that, if you are used to the standard Vic SAKs, just be mindful of the stiffer springs on these knives. They can (and will) nip you if you aren't used to this! All in all, a great bit of kit, it's my regular EDC now, and of course top notch service from Heinnie Haynes.

    Bright spark...

Nice size and weight for pocket carry, if you can do without the can opener. The sheepfoot blade swung the decision. This is a rugged and potent bit of kit. The tools on the Alox Pioneer range are stronger than the usual red handled SAKs. Good grip, too. Nice one!

    Tool bag essential tool..!

Posted by KrazyBiker on 30th Dec 2013

This is a great little knife I bought to keep in my work bag but I've ended up carrying it on me most days, the blades sharpen very well and remains sharp for a long time. I gave this knife five stars because it is so well made but does lack one thing and that's a Philips screwdriver, being an electricians knife I'd've thought a Philips would've been essential as would a small head flat blade. Never mind I still like it.
