    TB Outdoor Unboxer

Unusual knife design and packaging, but so, so sharp. The handle is plastic and fairly flexible, so this knife isn't suitable for heavy duty tasks, but is an excellent choice for EDC, as there isn't much this blade can't cope with.

best thing about this knife is the colour of the handle. No metal liner in the handle , so flex's to much, blade not that sharp out the box & doesn't hold a good edge brought a Boker plus which was less money but is a much much better knife, wish i had brought two Bokers & wish they did the Boker handle in green.

Good design but the finish could be better

Sharp out of the box, light weight, easy to open one handed once you get the tension set correctly however, the handle had sharp edges on the inside faces which you could feel when holding the knife and the blade had some burrs and sharp edges on the pivot end, these seemed to scrape on the inside of the handle when opening and closing to give a 'gritty' feel. these problems were both solved with a run over with an emery board just to take the edge off, now runs smooth as butter.

Really nice knife, very pleased with it. I find it easy to open and close one handed, with either hand. The handle is good. Some early reviews refer to a soft handle, mine is rigid (red version). The knife is very similar to my Boker Plus XS. The Boker has a more positive, snappy action, and a useful finger choil. But the Unboxer is much lighter, about half the weight of the Boker, and less bulky, especially without the pocket clip. I like it a lot.

Not sharp out the box lots of burrs , flimsy plastic body and stiff to open one handed

The back of the blade had a burr on it which wet and dry soon removed, a first for me, not had that issue before. To be honest I don't know how I feel about this knife, a quick strop and it's a razor but mine doen't fully open without a bit of extra force, definitely isn't easy one hand opening. I'll persevere with and maybe come to like it more.

    Perfect.

Well made and as light as a feather, if this were from America they'd be charging twice as much on a good day. The blue is slightly darker than the pictures show and is a bit closer to navy blue thankfully. What isn't as obvious from the pictures is that it has the tiniest clip point near the tip and whilst this folder sports a fairly thin flat grind the tip is ground more like a chisel and is ridiculously pointy. A couple passes on a strop and it is sharper than a hollow ground straight razor.

    TB Unboxer

I really like this knife. I carry it all the time and use it for food prep , cutting sticks , opening packages and anything else that needs a knife. It is still very sharp, is very light in my pocket and is easy to open and close one handed. The thing that sets it apart is the blade retention system. Despite having no back spring, it locks up securely but still closes like a slipjoint. This is in my opinion the first real innovation in pocket knife design for a long time . ( I don't count the spydyhole as innovative. Sorry Sal! )
