TAD Vanguard ST Jacket Phantom

Another well made TAD jacket that's worth the price. The only minor niggle is that the fit isn't as good as other TAD jackets I've bought. The fit in the shoulders and chest is great but the waist is a bit loose. Not excessively so but it could do with some waist adjusters. I have the TAD Interval jacket which fits perfectly at the waist and ironically has waist adjusters. But overall I'm really happy with the jacket and the waist fit isn't a deal breaker. Usual superb HH service.

Phantom colour on this, when there is black near it, it seems blue. If you don't have any black near it then it seems almost black. Sateen twill fabric looks smart and has just the right amount of stiffness for a jacket. Whilst the jacket itself isn't insulated, it does not let any wind through at all so you actually stay comfortable in lower temperatures than you would think. I was fine with just a t-shirt on underneath in 7C with a wind out when walking about. Good durable, well-made jacket that is good for formal and informal settings. Should be usable for most seasons as well, just obviously not the pouring rain!
