Tad Gear Huntsman Henley

The TAD Gear Huntsman Henley is a merino wool long sleeve t-shirt. I use it as a t-shirt in the summer and as an undershirt or base layer in the shoulder months. All TAD gear clothing is made to a very high finish, this is no different, this is in fact my third Huntsman Henley the oldest being five or six years old now and still going strong. No item of TAD gear is cheap, however they will last and perform well. I have over this period migrated to nearly all merino wool t-shirts or base layers, they are of course much more expensive than pure polyester, however they do last and can be worn for longer periods of time without getting smelly, which is one of polyesters major faults. I have never had a problem washing the merino wool, I machine wash at 40 using normal detergent and have never had any shrinkage, however do not tumble dry, you wont need to anyway as they dry very quickly on the line. As with all merino wool items, often hanging on the line to “air” is all that will be needed, thus reducing the number of times a garment is required to be washed and reducing the number of garments required. If you have never owned merino wool you will find this hard to believe, but when you take the leap and get your first garment you will quickly understand the fabulous material properties that this type of wool possesses.
