TAD Citadel
I've been a long term TAD customer from way before they had international distribution. I we as a always a big fan of their Force 10 and recon pants having had many pairs. I've also had a number of their jackets but have had mixed experience's more recently with regards to Q&A. their packs being a particular issue. However, last year I bought their Bastion Hoodie synthetic insulative jacket and have been very pleased with it. This winter when I saw they had produced what appeared to be a genuinely technical down product I couldn't resist despite the high price. The jacket is of excellent quality I am pleased to report. It hits a great balance between technical and tactical. The shell material is super soft with an excellent DWR and it's packed with high quality water resistant 850 fill down meaning it's decently light and provides great warmth to weight ratio. The paneling and cut is really nice and even seems to have some articulation. Pleased with this piece then but it'll be a nieche product due to the price tag....
