The Maverick by Tactile Knife Co. was conceived in early 2022 when Richard Rogers and his wife Sally came by the Tactile workshop, met with the team, and got to see firsthand a young(ish) group with big ambitions to do something different from most of the knife world.
Tactile Knife Co. have a desire to build everything in house, seek the best and brightest minds in manufacturing and design, never skimp on equipment, take this core philosophy and translate it to the materials, practices, and pride they bring to the shop every day.
Richard Rogers got them a prototype and they set to work dialing in things like the textured pivot, stronger spring, and custom washers to make the action silky smooth yet functional in dirty environments. The result is the Maverick, an outstanding folder that proves innovation is still possible in both design and craftsmanship.
