Left handers rejoice! The Spyderco Para Military 2, hands down one of Spyderco's most popular and in-demand models, is now available in a purpose-designed left-handed version.
Like the best-selling right-handed Para Military 2, this version features a full-flat-ground CPM S45VN stainless steel blade with an oversized Trademark Round Hole that is fully accessible for swift, ambidextrous, one-handed opening. The blade is housed in a handle constructed with stainless steel liners nested within durable textured G-10 scales. This style of construction results in a slimmer profile and allows an open-backed design that reduces weight and simplifies cleaning and maintenance. It is also the foundation of the knife’s patented Compression Lock mechanism, which in this knife is specifically engineered for left-handed operation. This “mirror-image” version of the Compression Lock provides the same trustworthy strength and ease of operation, but is specifically configured for left-handed use.
The left-handed PM2 also features a four-position pocket clip that supports tip-up or tip-down carry on both sides of the body. A generously sized lined lanyard hole at the butt end of the handle completes the package, allowing the easy attachment of fobs, lanyards, and safety lines.

Firstly, great knife, not too big or heavy…was very stiff out of the box, enough to make me google it, nothing to worry about though, a touch of lube & a bit of fiddling & it’s fine now, bought the left hander (after reading a comment that said if no one buys them they’ll stop producing them) but I’m pretty sure a normal one would’ve suited me better…anyway…pleased with the knife, can see why it’s a classic, not so pleased with how tight & soft the clip screws are, had to cut a slot in the last one to move the clip, so my new knife has a screw missing already…..excellent service from H H
Ok. The Paras are really nice knives. A good handle length gives it great cutting flexibility. It’s comfy for edc although perhaps not bush craft. I have used it for both fine and cardboard cutting and I think it’s a bit of a gem. Comfortable accurate and very sharp out the box. It’s left handed and thus the answer to maidens prayer. Buy it.
