    F14 Tactical Drop Point

Posted by Pete Twamley on 4th Aug 2021

Phenomenal knife ! Rugged enough to split logs when batoning . Sharp enough to shave with . Light enough to fight with . Hard enough to not dull the blade after use . Ergonomic enough to keep a solid grip . Sexy enough to be part of Black Widows outfit. Corrosion resistant enough to be hidden in the back of a toilet or the bottom of a lake until needed . Cheap enough to abuse as much as you like without cringing. All in all , a knife capable of k****g anything to d*** and then keeping you alive for a month in the woods while you evade capture and think about which countries don’t extradite .

Got this knife today been trying for couple hours first for a fix blade knife it's well light I wouldn't take this out in the field with me for the price there's a lot better knifes out there next thing I'm going to do is cut this into bits throw it in the bin that's the best place for it as I couldn't give this knife as a present I've learned a good lesson stay away from SCHRADE knifes

    A brilliant little fixed blade.

Posted by BackstopBob on 16th Jan 2016

Ok, I have the 'F15, that's an 'F14 with a Tanto blade. HH got it for me. I specifically wanted a strong tip, but unless I can swap it for an 'F14 I will reprofile it as per the 'F14. The tip is short and strong and is great for digging arrows out of tree's, but it has been mainly used for battoning logs for fires. Honest. The minimalist handle feels very bad if you want a bushcraft knife. But every scallop on the scales has been very well thought out. Making you intimately aware of where it is whether held forward or reversed. It really is designed as a "Tactical" knife. But it makes a great "EDC" (where permitted). Consider getting a "Teklok" for it. JMHO

Excellent customer service from USA - UK

Posted by JC on 21st Apr 2015

Update to previous review - Schrade customer service where quick to respond and even waived the $5 warranty cost when i had an issue. Top stuff. As per previous reviews, excellent knife. Quality is first class. thick heavy blade. Sheath is good and retains blade well. Its worth getting the knife for the excellent sheath, makes taking in and out a joy.

Sorry, the blade chipped - just reporting it in in case others have issue

Posted by JC on 20th Apr 2015

Good knife. Im reporting that mine developed a brittle crack on the blade, after almost no use and defiantly no abuse.... I am contacting Taylor Brands to try and get it changed under warrantee. Maybe a one Off? A bad temper on this blade? Other than that its a great knife. In a marine environment it shows a little rust, but nothing that a wipe with an oil cloth didn't prevent after use and it shows that there is a highish carbon level with accounts for the blade which does hold a pretty good edge. Will let you all know about how Schrade deal with the warranty issue? - INote - actually did not buy this one through Heinnie, other wise I'm sure they would have sorted it out. They did help me with contact details for schrade. I bought it in USA when i was there. Wish i had waited and bought it with Heinnie for the pound or two i saved buying it with dollars rather than in the UK.... Lessen learnt!

    Excellent all-rounder

Usual super efficient delivery from HH! This is a superb tool for the money. Worth a lot more than it cost. The blade finish is great and I like the thickness. The length (3.25") is just right for my everyday needs. Handles provide perfect grip, especially with gloves. It 'clicks' firmly into the tough sheath and the multiple carry options are a nice touch. I got a Wilson lanyard with brass monkey head to fit to the handle and it 'customises' the knife nicely! I'll be investing in more Schrade as they've really upped their game in recent years.

    Another winner form Schrade.

I was looking for a good small fixed blade & decided to give this a run, after all it's only £36.95. I wasn't disappointed, it's very well made, sharp out of the box, feels great in my hand, tough enough to handle whatever job a knife of this size is used for, easy to resharpen & the textured G10 handle scales mean that no matter how slippery your hand, you'll have a solid grip. The Thermoplastic(?) sheath has various carry options, thanks to a removable/relocatable belt loop attachment & it holds the knife very securely. In my opinion this would make an awesome camp knife or heavy fixed work knife, great value for money & it looks terrific. As always, very fast delivery & outstanding service from HH, thanks to everyone there.
