The Rockstead Hizen DLC is a smaller version of the Higo knife but with all the same outstanding characteristics that Rockstead are famous for.

The handle is made from duralumin, which is light and strong. This knife has a blade angle of 30 degrees at the mid way point and 24 degrees near the tip with one continuous, gradually reducing angle connecting them. This reducing blade angle is a product of Rockstead's continuing pursuit of superior sharpness and is produced over a very long period of polishing and stropping.

You will not find a blade like it on the planet!

This is my third ROCKSTEAD now and the smallest folder . The quality is as superb as ever ,razor sharp blade ,superb build and stunning to look at . Top top top quality.

I was stunned when i found i was the lucky person to get this knife from the Heinnie Haynes competition/giveaway. Thank you SO much. It arrived at my door in just 24hrs. The knife is a beauty, and to my eyes has no faults whatsoever. The handle is understated and classy, comfortable and a lovely size. The lockup is perfect, and not a hint of play in the blade at all. The blade itself is a work of art. Precise machining and wicked sharp. The blade polish is phenomenal. The DLC coating is like nothing else. It has the look of highly polished hematite. If you are in the market for a top of the line folder and have been looking at Rocksteads . . . imho, you cannot go wrong with the Hizen. I hasten to say, the Heinnie people have not asked for this review at all. there was never any mention of it. I did it because the knife is worth talking about. Be safe, Mik
