    Petzl spatha

    Posted by Plastic trash on 26th Feb 2021

    This is absolutely not a reflection of HH. It arrived quickly and was nicely boxed. Let’s get on to the trash, shall we? The handle is the most vile, nightmare inducing, flimsy plastic you can possibly imagine. It’s like someone thought a pen lid would make a good handle for a blade. Speaking of which, the blade is dull, brittle and has these odd little teeth. Ah, and just before you think “well, the locking mechanism looks kinda cool”, WRONG! It’s smooth plastic and if you use the blade, your fingers WILL slip on to the teeth and then it’s bye bye ligaments.

    Worst knife I've ever owned

    Posted by TC on 3rd Nov 2017

    Cheap plastic handle, uncomfortably stiff locking mechanism and a very dull edge. Managed to snap the blade in half with only medium duty work. If you can get hold of the old version I would highly recommend it but this newer model is terrible.

    Its there if you need it (hopefully you wont)

    Posted by Hillary on 6th Apr 2017

    For £20 its never going to set the knife world alight but hopefully I never have to use it but knowing its there and capable of cutting me free if need is the peace of mind I need. Thank you Heinnie Haynes for quick delivery.

    Not too bad

    Posted by Gareth on 2nd Sep 2016

    Very poor edge, noticeable roughness. The hinge ring is rough on the inside too. A little stiff to open and very stiff to unlock, a strong press is needed on the button. It's very light, the serrated edge is good and the inside of the thumb hole is nicely finished.

    Excellent

    Attach to pack forget about it but knowing you got something there could be a life saver. Good Strong solid knife, good serrations for purchase on ropes. For posted £20 its a really good bit of kit Got the yellow so its easily visible on my pack

    bonza!

    Posted by Steve from Hampshire on 14th Mar 2015

    I love my knife - it's the only one I carry it on my climbing rig - the biner fits nice through the hole and it gets the abuse, but it's cheep and cheerful, and the nice serrations have helped me a couple of times when I've needed to trim a piece of rope. niceone pezzle.

    let down

    Posted by gc on 9th Mar 2015

    let down by a poor quality feel handle and rough edges on the metal internal liner to the rotator. Also went to rust after one outing in the boat. A shame
