Description

Ruggedized-design, highest performance, premium-grade, stainless steel, vacuum-insulated water bottles. The Prometheus Design Werx FT Insulated Water Bottle FT series water bottles feature a custom fluted body design which increases material stiffness and resistance to deformation, and improves tactile grip when wet.

They hold 950ml/32oz of liquid which is just about 1L, less a sip. Durable, food grade, copper lined 18/8 stainless steel and vacuum sealed to keep drinks cold or hot, longer. As lifelong backpackers and dispersed campers, PDW prefer and chose to design their bottles with a "lab-standard wide mouth" opening, which is easy to fill with ice, compatible with many popular backcountry water filters, as well as many aftermarket caps.

    Excellent Insulation

Posted by Simon Badger on 18th May 2025

Bought this bottle about a month ago from HH and have been super impressed with it. Firstly, it's important to know that it is a lot bigger than most 1 ltr bottles (even insulated ones) and won't be fitting in the drinks holder in your car. Also, when it's new the thread on the metal cap is noisey (scratchy, metal on metal) when tightening or undoing... this cuts in better after a few cycles so bear with it. The bottle itself is extremely robust and a pleasure to use. It has a distinct look (my teenager thinks it looks like a grenade from a si-fi movie) and is a pleasure to use. The best thing is the insulation properties which are simply amazing. I have just spent a week in arizona with a mix of being in an office and heading out into the desert. Each morning I asked the breakfast server to fill my bottle with water and ice during the day I would top it up with water as I could. Next morning I would repeat but would find most of the ice from the day before was still in the bottle 24 hours later. Although it's not yet the height of summer for ice to survive 24 hours in the desert heat seems pretty impressive to me. All in all its a great bottle and I'll buy another when they are back in stock.
