    Awful

Posted by Craig on 4th Sep 2021

I wanted to like this little knife and seemed an ideal thing for the summer barbecues but from the second I opened the blister pack my heart started sinking. It wasn't particularly sharp, cheap handle flexed and blade was.off centre but still I was undetered and spent 2 days considering how to improve it. In the end I was really disappointed with it and for the first time decided to report my issues with Heinnie, they were excellent as expected. Knife was returned and a CRKT Dually sent out in its place a few weeks later as there was no stock. For £1 more the Dually is a far better knife and with me at any party, in my opinion the Swinky is something I'd expect to see in a bargain shop for at most £10 and even then I'd be disappointed when I got it home. Again Heinnie were great and are always my first port if call when looking for a new EDC

    Distinct, useful, average.

A nice little item, feels good in my hand and the Wharncliffe blade is very sharp and accurate. This is not going to join my EDC rotation though, as it doesn't seem complete. The fact that there are only two bolts means the scales move independently of each other, a point that just makes you doubt the blade.

    Swinky

Love this little knife , bought it so i could carry a handy blade around in my jeans pocket without someone calling the armed response unit . 2" blade not pointy , so not very aggressive looking . Razer sharp blade and bottle opener at other end so you can be drunk when they shoot you.

    Great EDC tool

Posted by Harry on 22nd Sep 2020

The moment I opened the package and got this in my hand I realised what a great EDC tool it is. Extremely compact but robust. I don’t mind the handles because I like the grip they provide. I like the tool so much I have ordered a few spares in case I lose it. This will definitely be part of my home EDC kit. Just a very useful tool to have on hand.

    Nifty little tool!

Posted by Benjamin Huggett on 7th Sep 2020

I really liked the idea of having a bottle opener and a pry-bar plus the obvious knife all in one compact tool. The reality is remarkably positive. The knife is a fab size, the blade is pleasingly sized and shaped too. The type of steel used allows you to get a remarkably sharp blade - fingers crossed it should also hold its edge for a good while. I've used the pry-tool a couple of times for various rubber hoses etc...the bottle opener has also seen its fair share of use as the world begins to open up again post lockdown. If I had an area to be critical of it would almost certainly be the handle - it's just not as hefty feeling as I'd hoped. I wouldn't call it fragile at all, it's really not that. But compared to the rest of the tool it just doesn't feel as well made. It's almost as though the handle is actually a hollow plastic which is a shame. Overall I would say this is absolutely worth having. I wouldn't go whipping it out in crowded places, because it does look a bit angry. That having been said, it's a brilliant utility knife and I'll enjoy using it in my EDC rotation.

    Very nice

Posted by Oli on 1st Sep 2020

Besides the cheap but durable handle this knife is a gem. Lovely blade shape, sharp and solid. It it worth noting this is not a true piemontese friction folder as it has ball stops opened and closed but still very cool. I just rehandled it with bog oak and that was quite a challenge compared to a Svod Peasant.

    Unusual little EDC knife

Posted by Rich on 15th Aug 2020

Quite a tidy little folder actually. Nice solid opening and closing, and really sharp out of the box. Handle is quite cheap and plastic-y, but other than that it's good value for money

    Nice little knife but

Posted by Rachael on 6th Aug 2020

I’ve just brought this and on first impressions it’s a nice little knife , opens and closes nice and smoothly and will not close on you if held correctly , the blade steel is not the best but More than adequate for this light use knife , it came sharpish out of the box but doesn’t take long to get to a sharp edge ,the bottle opener and screwdriver/pry bar work well but it does have one major flaw wether you use the pocket clip or just drop it in your pocket it digs in to your leg which is not very nice so I will be keeping mine in a slip .
