    Work of art

Posted by Luke on 2nd Oct 2023

Ordered my no.6 Oak on Friday evening and it arrived on Monday. This is my 3rd order from HH and they've been bang on every time. This knife is an absolute corker with its beautiful oak handle, and when you factor in the Sandvik steel blade as well, you are getting a LOT of knife for your money. The blade is a perfect length and the no.6 handle's modest circumference means that even with a cylindrical-ish profile, it doesn't jut out in your pocket. The oak handle feels lovely in the hand too, and is beautifully grained. Absolutely cracking knife.

Its the Opinel no8 its a classic for good reason and with the oak handle it adds a lovely smell.

    Nice combination

Posted by Mike on 4th Sep 2020

Opinel no6 oak inox (stainless) is a nice combination and one I've always seemed to miss getting hold of . This oak is nice and grainey but course and its known to split ? The model is extremely light to handle and comfortable in use This version seems one of the rarer versions of handle material but nice and if like me one Opinel is never enough it's worth getting HH were again on the ball with delivery

    Oak tree wood Opinel ˜†

Posted by Lowey on 18th Apr 2020

The Opinel no8 in oak wood is a classy touch ! One reviewer said it was just like the beech version ? Well i think they must have got the wrong model then ,as my two are nothing like and have a beautiful grain on them and no two are the same ! The handle doesn't have Opinel stamped on it ,but that just adds to the look of these models ? Thinking about wood handles what other knife manufacturer offers such wood variety at these prices ? My only wish is Opinel would give these woods on models other than no6 and no8 ! There is much said on the blade materials carbone or inox ? I have both types ,The inox ones also have the alternative woods only I believe? And I find little between them in use ,although inox is my choice for food prep or apples as the carbone have a very pungent smell with Apple's etc but they get a patina, if your into that look? To sum up then the no8 oak is a very recommended choice if your looking for an Opinel knife or if your not sure as I will say none of the images look as the knife in the hand does ! That goes for other wood options too ! Great choice and service from HH as per normal.

    Superb little knife

Posted by Ben on 12th Mar 2013

First off, absolute top class service from HH. This is the first thing I've bough from the website and I'm extremely impressed with the swiftness of the service. The knife was shipped on a Monday, and by Tuesday it had arrived. Brilliant. Onto the knife itself. I've not as yet had an opportunity to use it much, but I will say that it is absolutely gorgeous. The Oak handle looks and feels lovely - it's soft and smooth and it almost feels warm in your hand. The stainless blade came pretty sharp out of the box which is a definite bonus. Cuts through card and paper well, and I think this will become a very valuable pocket tool for years to come. Great little knife, and for an absolutely awesome price tag.
