Great knife, excellent value, sharp as a razor and feels great in hand.
This review is for the opposing extremes - the no.12 and the no.2 No.12 - The main convex grind is fine but came with a terrible big ragged burr on the edge grind. The straight edge doesn't transfer smoothly into the upswept tip, there is a slight corner. The rest of the knife is fine. No.2 The pivot is not secure and the collar that it sits in is uneven. The blade opens too easily, and considering it's a keychain knife the tip can open enough to catch in the pocket. Poor QC. I have bought 4 before these two, and had no quality issues previously.
Bought a couple of these as gifts for family. As usual, HH delivered the goods quickly and I checked both knives on arrival. I've owned the carbon steel No. 8 but decided to get the stainless blade versions this time for easier care. Both were good and sharp, the 'ring' lock worked easily and the finish was very good. I used my knife for many years and have no reason to suppose these (gifts) won't last every bit as long and provide just as much service.
A great knife bought to replace a similar knife which I had for almost 10 years. Super quality just right for grafting apple trees.
My Go to work knife.
Excellent value for money very sharp, excellent service
Brilliant knife for £10... simple yet effective...came very sharp out of the box...ideal for all those little cutting tasks around the home & garden. The No.8 is the perfect size if you ask me....not too small and not to big either. Heinnie Haynes service and delivery perfect as usual.
Great be little knife . So useful for so much. Often used in kitchen also.
