The Nextool Flagship Pro really is an extraordinary multi-tool.

On first inspection one is struck by the weighty, solid construction. The quality is right up there with the best multi-tools on the market (but note price difference).

The spring action pliers are very "springy" so are great to use, following the action of your hand. One of the Nextool Flagship Pro's very clever features, however, is the inclusion of a large (considering the closed size of the tool) pair of scissors folded into a section of the handle.

Add to that a glass breaker and these become a serious consideration for anyone involved with one of the emergency services.

There are 16 tools altogether including a blade, saw, selection screwdrivers and a removable wire cutter. A pocket clip allows a number of different carry options.

An excellent multi-tool, recommended as the best in the "Auto Express" test of multi-tools in January 2021. Unusually it has a pair of scissors in the tool.. well worth looking at if you are thinking of purchasing such a multi-tool.

    Awesome but for one thing.

Build quality, material quality, blade sharpness/harrdness and evrything is excellent. Th entire quality of this as a multitool is excellent from ease of tool access to stiffness of extended tools and locking. I have been usising most except for the saw on a regular basis. The scissors were my reason for purchase and are excellent. My only niggle is that the saw/knife hinge at the same end as the plier hinge rather than the usual opposite. This means neither can be used with an extended handle. Still going for the 5 though as I believe the choice was made for easier deployment of the Oh so great scissors. OK, it doesn't have a hex bit adapter and gimicks that other multitools do but it has awsome scissors and everything this tool has is solid and quality. I suppose the only other thing I would like to have seen is a ring for a c-clip attachment but given the design the belt clip could be modified,

    Excelent tool. Tiny, minor gripes.

I'll not commit to a 5 yet as I have only had this for a couple of days and need to see it in action but the design is excelent. All tools are easy to access and stiffness in removing some of the smaller ones is part of the safety of keeping them slip locked while open. It would have been nice if there was a fold out hex adapter in the pliers insides but understand restrictions on size and weight. Knife is factory sharp and a good blade shape. Will see how it holds up over time. Hope the blade steel specs apply to the scissors as well. Ah, the scissors. How awesome it is to actually have a decent pair of scissors on a multitool. You can hear the blades making contact along their entire length for a clean cut. Also it would be nice if there was some way to fit a split ring so I could secure it to the clip in my backpack pocket. Only other slight niggle is that the knife and saw blades, for me open from the wrong end of the pliers hinge so you can't open them with the handles at full extension for a better, thinner grip. Still, overall this is an outstanding tool at first glance.

Hard yo argue for the price

Posted by John on 5th Dec 2019

Like other reviewers, I'm impressed. The blade is good, the scisors are certainly large (if a little prone to sticking) and the pliers are very decent and nicely sprung. I'll confess I haven't had a chance to test the hard wirecutters yet to see how they hold up. Fit and finish seem very good: not unlike a Ganzo or two that I also own but - in comparrison - this is a nicer tool to use. Where there is a slight let down (for me) is the selection of other tools. The saw isn't bad: it's no leatherman or Victorinox but perfectly adequate (and - all importantly - locks!). The three other elements - a flat head and bottle openenr ((not bad), a can opener (fairly poor) and wire striper (ok); and a 2d phillips tip on a line cutter (both adequate) are all non locking (fair enough) all a little difficult to get to (but are, at least, thoughtfully positioned on the outside of the tool) and are fairly short. It has a pocket clip but I bought a very nice pouch for it (and paid half as much as I did for the tool! - which was reeduced as an offer from HH). Coudl it be better? yes: I'd love a locking bit exchanger (like my also cheap Ganzos).I'd like a decent file and if the other tools didn't lock I wouldn't care if I had the exchanger, and I'd pay more for those. Will you find better for the price? Look at the top end of the Ganzos but you will be very hard pressed. It's a third of the price of mywave and is about two thirds as capable. THat makes it a bargain in my books

    amazing quality for the price

Posted by Dan on 12th Feb 2019

Really impressed with this, particularly considering I paid less for it than I paid for my Leatherman PSTII more than 25 years ago! As it says in the description, it's a really solid , quality tool, that has no play in any of the joints. The scissors are a really useful size, and the pliers have replaceable wire cutting jaws (they look to be identical to the Leatherman replacements..). The jaws pass the Leatherman test, in that they are sharp enough to cut paper, and after a couple of licks on the strop, the scissors are razor sharp, too. The rest of the tools seem good, too, my only gripe would be the lack of a 1/4" hex drive, which would probably make this the ideal tool for pretty much any situation... HH service top notch as ever..
