Great knife, shame about the sheath
The knife itself is very much of the slightly oversized steak knife pattern. It's got a good comfortable handle, enough curvature to the tip to make long slicing cuts a pleasure, but enough straight edge to make draw cuts practical. As a fairly short blade I wouldn't recommend battoning wood, but you can do it as long as the wood isn't too thick. The knife comes very sharp and has held it's edge well - I'll return to this later. At first the magnetic leather sheath seemed both functional and stylish. However it turned out to be a bit too penetrable for comfort when inserting something very sharp and pointy. When putting the knife back in it's sheath it slipped straight through the leather (and a layer of heavy work trouser) and protruded out with no noticeable resistance. Luckily it slipped outwards rather than inwards meaning when I sat down I got 15mm of blade in my forearm rather than my femoral artery or right testicle. It's a great knife, but a kydex sheath is essential. The leather sheath is not fit for it's presumed purpose, but it's a pretty stylish carrier for a folding knife that doesn't have a decent clip.
