MKM Mikro Micarta Sheepsfoot 18

I have never been a fan of tiny knives but having seen reviews of this on YouTube decided to try this one and have not been disappointed. The combination of 4mm M390 and Jesper Voxnaes ergonomic design mean that you can apply reasonable pressure, if needed, with comfort. Mine also arrived hair popping sharp. The sheath is also extremely well thought through with the 2 magnets allowing it to be carried not only in your pocket but inside your waistband and in the pocket of your bag. Additionally it will stick to any metal surface.

This is lovely. Small as the other reviewer mentions, but giving 2 starts because the knife is exactly the size mentioned in the listing isn’t really fair IMO. Lovely in the hand, just fits nicely. Materials are excellent, as is the design, and the leather sheath is clever and well-made. It was sharp, and had kept its edge despite being used to cut carpet. Everything about the knife is just right.

I purchased this knife to add to my collection without doing my usual research. Starting with with the good. Great design, and materials, sheath well made and all high quality that look fantastic in the photos. Not so good, I feel I got a little catfished but in the knife world, a bit like the tinder pictures which only show the cute face but from different angles. The real issue for me, the size, I really would struggle to find a purpose for this knife other than maybe peeling carrots, but not the big ones, the really small carrots you get from Waitrose that get served in fancy restaurants. It's a shame as everything else is there, just not the size or use ability. It's basically the only knife I would let my four year old handle and be confident he wouldn't hurt himself. Fancy toothpick maybe, not that sharp out the box although that's probably a good thing as holding it doesn't fill you with confidence. Great delivery and service from Hennis as always and free delivery, however I would have benefited with a photo of it in hand on the website (my fault for not checking the size in the specs like I usually do)
