The MKM Magnetic Leather Pouch is a pocket leather sheath with magnetic closure.

The leather for the loop is a bit too thick to allow it to be as discrete as it ought. On the other hand the leather for the opening is a little too thin, so it lacks the rigidity to stop it folding inwards, so as to get in the way when trying to insert a closed knife. It works with the Rogan Pocket Tool, which was my main purpose, but I don't think it will do for the couple of clipless folding knives I have.
This MKM pouch, sheath, holster - whatever you want to call it - has been a revelation. I have been buying more and more clipless knives recently - like the Benchmark Proper or Viper Key - and wanted to carry them in the most convenient way. This little beauty offers the practicality of a clip - keeping the knife upright and accessible - with the protection of a pouch. The magnetic flap creates a very secure attachment - clip-style - to either my trouser pocket, or - my preferred way - my chest pocket. Contrary to a simple pouch, it allows easy, one-handed removal and insertion of the knife after use. Its size allows almost any of my beloved folders to fit securely and snugly - from a slim Higonokami or Boker Plus Wasabi, via the above-mentioned Proper or Key, up to the really chunky Fox Nauta or Viper DAN 1. The monster magnet which secures the flap, also offers an extra ‘hold’ on the knife - keeping it securely in place. In certain ways it’s a more discrete way of carrying a folder than the way certain knives look when attached to your pocket with a clip. For all the world this thing looks like you have some sort of spectacle case or epipen in your pocket. All-in-all, a super solution for the “C” in EDC.
I got one of these with an MKM Cellina and it's easily the best thing about that knife. The slip fits a number of knives and is currently used for my SAK compact. Being able to use it as a slip if great for those knives you love but don't have pocket clips and makes carrying them so much more comfortable. The leather is really nice, although I would prefer it to be black to make carrying more discreet. The real star of the show is the magnet which is pretty strong and works through thick fabric. Being able to easily undo it and clip it onto my pocket, shorts, dressing gown or even boxer shorts means I am never without a knife, even when around the house. Let's be honest, we don't wear trousers nearly as often in lockdown.
