A Rarity!
I say it’s a rarity because for Midgards Messer, this is an eminently carriable knife; an EDC. Yes, it’s overbuilt and hefty laden with blue anodised titanium as is traditional for MM but it fits so well in the hand and even in the pocket. Coupled with the 3D printed carry case and I’m sure you could carry and use this in your activities of daily living. The blade is beautifully shaped with an attractive bead-blasted finish and an aesthetically pleasing fuller that extends beyond the front end of the blade. The milling of the titanium scales is nicely smoothed so it’s comfortable in the hand but provides excellent grip even if one’s hands are damp. Some recent MM knives have been left with sharp milling (sliding knife) but that isn’t the case here. The titanium deep carry clip is laser etched with the its number in the 300 limited series cleverly visible (182/300 in my example). I really like the inlaid bronze triangle that marks this out a part of the limited run and the dorsal jimping runs along the entire length of the handle and halfway along the dorsum of the blade. There’s a little stifling etched just above the bronze inlay reflecting that of the handle scales which is a nice touch. In conclusion, this is a lovely knife that you really can use everyday but still feel the Viking power of MM! Don’t hesitate to buy this or else you’ll be missing a treat.
