This version of the popular Magnum Eternal Classic is supplied with a practical thumb stud so that the straight-bladed pocket knife can be opened comfortably with one hand. The almost spine-tipped blade made of satin-finished 440A has a distinctive ricasso, which from a distance is reminiscent of a shark. The slim, simply textured stainless steel handle fits comfortably in the hand and houses the reliable framelock. Supplied with a deep-carry clip (tip-down) and a lanyard hole.

This knife came as a grand surprise. I really wasn't expecting much, but had a spare few quid, and thought "Why not?" Over the years, I've ended up with some real shockers thanks to this 'policy', but I've also had my fair share of wins; thankfully, the Eternal Classic falls into the latter camp. [Not a great deal of time spent on the name, clearly, but sounds even worse in German: "Ewiger Klassiker".] All the usual boxes can be ticked. It's a sweet fit in the hand, which is a bit of magic considering how big my hands are -- despite a 9 cm blade, this is not a large knife, or, at least, it doesn't come across that way.. The drop point blade is only 440A, admittedly, but it is nice, and sharp out of the box, and I do like the shape. The steel handle is, as already mentioned, fine in hand, and grippy -- I'm not a great lover of steel handles, but if I ever take it out in --20C, I'll wear gloves. For me, the best thing about this knife is it's mechanism, which is strong, and slick, and as fiendishly fidgety as just about anything I own, and I own hundreds of knives, many of which cost 10 - 20 times as much as I paid for this Magnum. I do like a bargain, and this is a bargain that I am happy to recommend. Do I need to mention that HH's service was, as ever, wonderful? Of course not. That is a given.
