The Leatherman Sketetool KBx comes with a versatile combo knife blade (apart from the black handled version which has a plain blade) that’s great for heavy-duty work or for quick, everyday uses. The blade is made from an improved, high-carbon (HC) form of 420 stainless steel that works well with high production tooling. 420HC's strength is optimised in Leatherman multi-tools by heat treatment.
The handle is type-2 anodised aluminium which is an aluminium with a porous coating that provides wear and corrosion resistance.
