    Leatherman Quality

Posted by Marcus on 7th Sep 2021

I’ve used Leatherman products for the past 20 years or so. Quality is always assured. The main tool is the scissors and the other tools work fine but are a bit fiddly for big hands. Perfect on your key ring.

    Lovely little multi tool

Posted by Richard Sherwin on 18th Aug 2021

This is my 3rd Leatherman I was surprised how small this one is. Similar sizing to the PS. Really is a classy non threatening tool. I might treat my wife to one too as I’m sure she’ll love one for her handbag. Only used the scissors so far and I’m really impressed with how nice the work with a spring like the PS to keep them open between cuts, they are also really nice and sharp and made easy work of cutting a double thickness of paracord with no bother. So well made for the price

    Quality of service

Posted by Thomas Patrick on 6th Jan 2021

This micra is undoubtedly a great tiny multitool and has stood the test of time so great wee piece of kit. The five star rating is to Heinnie Haynes, what a great service, really helpful responds quickly to emails and dispatches straight away. Would definitely recommend buying from these guys. Thank you.

    Amazing

Posted by Martin on 15th Dec 2017

I've had a micra for nearly 20 years and it is the best money I've ever spent. The tools are rock solid and tthe knife continues to sharpen to a wicked edge. The scissors have started to dull somewhat and are very hard to sharpen as they are too small for any normal knife sharpener, but they still work around an office or messing around with the car. Worth every penny.

Good first time EDC multi tool.

Posted by Stevo on 7th Mar 2017

You have to start somewhere. You realise a small multi tool (MT) would be useful, but which one? Having appreciated my first generation Leatherman Wave for some years, something smaller, suited to an office environment, seemed ideal. Besides, it was not always appropriate or convenient to carry the Wave. The Micra is a good balance of small useful tools and compact portability. For what it is, it is well made and quite sturdy. The scissors are very good indeed. Easily as good as the larger Victorinox offerings. Carried in a pocket or suspended from a lanyard and a P7 pocket clip or similar (on a budget? Try a small bulldog clip with folding detachable handles), this certainly is a portable little tool kit. Within its limits, of course. And it is sometimes more appropriate in situations when a Vic SAK, despite its familiar cheery appearance, would be frowned upon due to its larger main blade, compared to the tiny Micra's. A Micra is primarily a pair of small folding scissors, cute and inoffensive. This makes a nice gift for a lady, too. On such occasions, once they understood the many uses the Micra offers, they were well pleased. So, not to be disparaging in any way, but if someone (of either gender) is unfamiliar with the multi tool concept, a Micra is a great introduction. In honesty, before buying a Wave, I was really put off by a cheap MT by Remington, of all people, when it failed to trim a replacement clothesline. Clothesline! To be fair, you do get what you pay for more often than not. The Wave, and the Micra, are in another league entirely. We learn as we go along in life. After happily carrying the Micra every day, I realised that small pliers would be really useful, compared to the times I actually needed scissors. A small capable file, too. A Leatherman PS4 was the logical substitute. The Micra still is used at times, and I would rather buy a friend a new one than give mine away. In hindsight, it is worth taking your time to select your desired MT. As with pocket knives, and perhaps especially SAKs, there is no perfect choice. But some come very close. One humble suggestion is to carry, if possible and practical, a few of the individual small tools you think you might find useful, before settling on a particular MT. For me, an eyeglass screwdriver, a radio (pen-sized) screwdriver, an ignition file, small forceps, and a stubby sturdy pair of scissors made for telephone engineers, were all at one point or another part of my EDC while at work; and all to some extent contributed to finally selecting the PS4. Worthwhile reviews can also be informative and helpful so long as the author is somewhat balanced and impartial. So, the Leatherman Micra. As bargains go, it's a snip!

I've had a Micra for over 10 years and use it almost everyday and its still rock solid. I'd hate to be without it. For the money its a no brainer.

    Not fit for purpose.

Posted by Alex on 13th Nov 2015

Everything about is is great, except the scissors are very poor and imo absolutely useless . Also you have to open it up to access the tools making this an extra pain to use. I would definitely advise going for a small Victorinox over this.

Can't reccomend the Leatherman Micra enough! It is quite simply the best key-chain tool available, a really great piece of kit.

    Stunning...

Posted by Wez on 13th Oct 2015

Normally I am not a leatherman fan. But this is not a full plier tool, it is a small EDC scissors tool. This is such a nice tool I never want to be without this. SO useful. Would make a great gift for anyone, male, female, geek, non-geek, technician etc. Buy one. Buy one. Mine goes in my Maxpedition Mini Pocket Organiser.
