Description

The Kizer Polaris is a compact fixed blade designed by Azo, whose work often blends clean, modern lines with practical usability. The drop point blade is 1095 carbon steel with a black coated finish – adding extra protection against corrosion and wear while keeping reflections to a minimum. A full tang construction gives strength from tip to handle, making it a reliable choice for camp chores, food prep or day-to-day cutting tasks.

The handle is contoured G10, offering a secure grip in all weathers without unnecessary bulk. Paired with its fitted Kydex sheath for safe and easy carry, the Polaris is a no-nonsense fixed blade that reflects Azo’s knack for creating tools that are functional, comfortable and ready for real use

    Great Priced Scandi

Posted by JDM on 9th Sep 2025

A nicely priced Scandi knife. What I consider a basic bushcrafter. At this price I feel it's a no brainer. Sharp out of the box, great sheath, has bow drill dimple and feels great in the hand. Also seems to whittle wood very well. Reminder I'm basing this review on its price. The knives I carry are six times the price. Yet I love a bargain. Most knife buyers will consider the steel poor (1095) and admittedly I only have the 10XX steel on large choppers, but 1095 is the higher end of the scale and is very useable. It's a really great knife. In my opinion better than most similar priced fixed blades.
