The Kizer Hyper Black & Red Folding Knife has been produced for Kizer's tenth anniversary.

The stand-out feature of this knife is its coloured aluminium handle which can be disassembled and re-assembled. The design is inspired by the lines and two-tone colours of hypercars. Straight lines for most of the handle and one curve line for the finger position represent the wheel frame of the hypercar.

Unlike traditional knives with liners inside the handle, the Kizer Hyper relies on the interaction and forces of the handle structural parts to form a stable structure.

Using the two structural parts as the handle, the Hyper can easily carry off a cutout resembling a hypercar spoiler. The pocket clip is thus hidden between the two handle parts, allowing it to be carried without fear of snagging.

With the potential for swapping out sections for different colours, this knife can be as individual as you are.

Supplied with a Kizer anniversary coin.

    A numbered 10th anniversary release

Posted by Mark R on 28th Jan 2025

This Hyper by Kizer is beautiful. The aluminium handle is extremely comfortable to hold and the knife feels really well made. The standard of finish is excellent. The S35VN blade is shaving sharp straight out of the box. The box itself is also a useful piece of kit as it's a water resistant/ proof plastic type with a good seal. Not exactly the usual cardboard I'm used to with my other knives. I like this so much I am going to get the red and blue handled variant with the satin blade. The button lock and ambidextrous thumbstud work perfectly and there's no play whatsoever in the blade which is perfectly centred in both the open and closed position.

Hard to write a review when you're smitten with the thumb stud opening action.

I'm not sure if "like butter " is the right term? I think "bullet fast" is more appropriate. I really was caught unawares the first time I touched that thumb stud. The blade was deployed instantly. Up until today I've been totally focused on collecting fixed blade knives but now fully understand the attraction to folders. Kizer have only been in business for 12 years but they've definitely taken giant strides towards competing with the old guard. I bought one of their fixed blade knives last week and also another folder by them yesterday that also arrived today. But I digress, this about the Kizer Hyper and it fully deserves to be in the spotlight. Can you buy an American made knife with a CPM S35VN blade for £90? I used some of my Heinnie reward points and only paid £60. It almost feels like I just stole a Ferrari. Yes it is that good and it's even the right colour. I'm going to be playing with that thumb stud for the rest of the day. A couple of details I think I've missed...... Aesthetically this knife is as good looking as any Ferrari and the action on that thumb stud is is just as fast. The blade is sharper than than a Ferrari can corner so I might have to buy the red and blue one as well. This was a spur of the moment purchase at 10 to 5 yesterday evening and it was in my hand at 2pm today so a massive shout out to Heinnie's for the brilliant service as usual. It's not something you get everywhere and should be appreciated and never taken for granted. Everyone at Heinnie's are willing to go that extra mile.. I'll definitely be back buying more knives in the near future.

    Kizer S35vn button lock

Posted by Dirk 'Kendrix' Cutlass on 16th Feb 2024

Good steel, button lock, £90, the usual Kizer build & fit n finish. A dry box like they sell overpriced watches in on T.V. & even a coin thang that if you play guitar & like Gibson then you can glue it to the plastic cover on the back of a 3 way toggle & pretend your Les Paul is a Custom Shop!!!!!!! Lmao. Worth buying for the coin alone...... Nah great knife, as usual with Kizer & great steel for the money. Also look at the Kuh by these for a button lock in 154cm but cheaper & longer. I've gotta stop buying Kizer or I'll jst keep adding more as they're the Rolls Royce of Chinese knives, up with Boker Plus (made in China) if not cheaper, better & better appointed (for steels used). New kid on the block but came outta left field like a Zonda & are representing big time!!!!!!!!

    Overall good

Great knife, love the design and the colours. Razor sharp out the box. Packaging is also great. Only issue i have is a tiny bit of lock stick on the button to close the knife.
