LC200N Kizer Drop Bear
I'll start by saying this is a lovely knife. Well made, very sturdy construction. Beautiful pattern on the handle that catches the sunlight very nicely. I'm a fan of the crystallised titanium look but often it comes with a significant price tag, I don't feel this is too expensive. The blade is sharp out of the box. The LC2002 blade metal seems good so far, although hasn't really been tested at all outside opening boxes. The mechanism on the blade is very fun to fidget with, although the noise definitely irritates others around me if I get carried away. I would say that the pull back to open the lock feels a little grindy to me, but perhaps I can fix that with a good clean out and it hasn't been a huge negative for me. The black paint around the lock pin has worn off a bit where the blade stops against it and has spread black paint powder onto the back of the blade at the contact point. This is not a huge concern and is only noticeable if I peer carefully into the mechanism of the knife. I couldn't see it just looking at the outside or the visible part of the blade and it doesn't appear to have hampered the function of the knife at all. I would also mention that the knife is smaller than I thought it would be based on the photos. I know the measurements from the specifications are accurate, but I think the person holding the knife in the photos has much smaller hands than me because i was suprised it wasn't around an inch longer overall (open) when i held it. I am a 6'2" man with large-ish but not massive hands. This does mean it's a little on the small side for my hand, but definitely still fits and feels secure to use. Overall I would rate this at around 4.6/7 for me. It's not completely prefect, but i feel it's close and to rate it a 4 would imply I had some real issue, which I don't
