The Kitanica Mark I Fleece is a lightweight laminated fleece softshell with just the right amount of stretch to the fabric. Originally designed as a liner for the MARK I, it also serves as a great standalone fleece due to its versatility. It is abrasion- and water-resistant and packs up small. The zipper of this fleece is designed to zip into the MARK I and features attachment points on both cuffs and the collar. It also includes a spacious interior pocket for accessibility when installed in the MARK I.

Very impressed with this jacket. I wear it as a stand alone softshell and liner for my waterproof hardshell ( Arcteryx). It has just the right amount of pockets for storage of everyday essentials. I like the added pen pockets on upper left sleeve. Handy when either driving or navigating in a vehicle. The side pockets are sized deep enough to store either a pair of gloves or a beanie. Sizing is spot on . I am 5'11 slim athletic build 34" waist 40" chest. The size medium fits perfect allowing a baselayer or microfleece top to fit underneath. The base seam of the jacket sits at my belt line on waist and allows easy access to any kit I may carry on my belt. It is not baggy or overhanging. Nice snug athletic fit. If you have long arms you may find the sleeves come up a little short but not drastic like for example snugpak sleeka jackets. The top breast pockets will take either a small cellphone or small notebook such as the rite in rain midnight or the field notes expedition. HH please could you stock these two types of notebook as they are superb.
