Description

When fingernails go wrong, the Kershaw Platform is here to help. This folding knife can function like a standard cutting tool, but extra functions are hidden within the back handle. An integrated nail clipper and file can be easily opened for a quick cosmetic touchup. The rest of the Platform was designed to be an approachable and friendly design. Its sheepsfoot blade is curved near the tip for added safety. A unique ripple texture adds interest on the front handle scale. And its slipjoint design allows for easy open and close without a lock. With no pocketclip, the Platform can be thrown in a glove box, purse, or even a tackle box as a manicure lifesaver.

  • Slipjoint folding knife with integrated nail clipper and file
  • 8Cr13MoV blade steel offers edge-holding capability, strength, and hardness; bead-blasted finish creates a non-reflective, matte loo
  • Ripple front handle texture adds a unique aesthetic
  • No pocket clip; can be easily stored in glove box or purse
  • 7cm non-locking blade makes the knife UK friendly carry

    Knife good, nail clippers awful

Posted by Benjamin on 22nd Feb 2025

The blade looks impeccable looks even sharper and hardier than Victorinox that I find has a soft blade edge that roll easily whereas this kershaw seems to hold up pretty well. That being said the nail clippers are far from fit for their purpose they are very cumbersome and hard to use I have found the easiest way is upside down but then the nail file gets in the way and makes an awful scraping sound and feel. The first time I used these I ended up cutting a big chunk out of my nail that wasn’t intended and caused injury and bleeding in the process I’d say maybe they’d be useful at removing splinters but I’m yet to try this out and frankly don’t hold out much hope so overall the knife is a 10/10 the nail clippers are far and file 4.5/10
