The Helle Eggen has been, for many years, one of Helle's most sought after blades. The Eggen 12C27 is the most recent evolution of the knife with the same design and feel, now with a non-laminated blade of 12C27 Stainless Steel.
Sandvik 12C27 offers a stiffer flex. The fully hardened blade (since it is not laminated) can also be converted to having a sharp spine, for all of you who want to use the knife with a ferro rod.
The Eggen 12C27 has a beautiful handle, crafted from one piece of selected curly birch, carefully sanded and polished by hand to a satin finish. The handle has a well-proportioned finger guard for safety.
The Eggen 12C27 is supplied with a black sheath in genuine leather with silver stitching to match the aluminium butt at the end of the handle.

No super steel here, but a great value very nicely finished blade. The handle is very comfortable and beautifully figured. It comes with a nice leather sheath which is easy to clean. I can't recommend this knife enough. This has been one of my very favourite knives.
