The Fox Libar is a UK legal carry pocket knife of serious quality. The blade is M390 stainless steel and will arrive to you extremely sharp out of the box. It is also a hard steel with a Rockwell hardness of 59-60. It's a blade that will take a lot of use before sharpening needs to be considered.

This, the Fox Libar Carbon Fibre has a carbon fibre handle which reduces weight whilst maximising strength and resilience. There is a steel lined lanyard hole to tie on a lanyard of your choice and the knife is supplied with a black leather pouch for storage.

A great little knife, but smaller than I expected

Posted by Darrel on 18th Aug 2020

Around the length of a standard SAK, this nevertheless seems much smaller, with quite a delicate (but strong carbon fibre) handle. It is small in my hand, but the lanyard I added compensates for this. It is also very thin and light and would fit in even the smallest pocket with no trouble at all. The blade is wide with a great belly. Great to have jimping and the half-stop on such a small folding knife too. UK laws tend to make me a bit paranoid about carrying a blade, but I don't feel Mr Policeman would be confiscating this.

Not quite great, but a lovely knife nonetheless.

Did lots of research before I decided to get this one, wanted a knife with M390 and carbon fibre for under £100. The knife is well made, no fit and finish issues, but the grind of the blade on one side is very uneven, don't get me wrong, it's sharp as a tack, but the OCD in me hates the look of it. Could probably be fixed by a simple reshape/regrind, but I would of expected it to be right out of the box. Leather pouch is great though, great for EDC use.

I like this knife, and I'm not easily pleased! See my YouTube review at https://youtu.be/KPA1JqwSUXA

Small, light and good materials, reasonable build

Posted by Alex on 19th Sep 2019

Smaller than i expected but I am happy with it for what i wanted. Handle width is about 10mm, depth from the spine is only 14mm at the narrowest point. Good materials and value for money. The spring is not overly strong, but it has more of a notch rather than a flat spine where the spring makes contact, similar to the spyderco UKPK and it offers a similar resistance to the Heinnie red G10 UKPK which is great. The leather slip isn far thicker and of better quality than those that come with say the MKM Fara, more akin to what I have ordered from custom makers. Loses a point for the noticable gap between the spring and scale all the way on one side due to poor finishing of the scales. The other also has a noticable gap but only for a couple of centimetres. I'm happy for what i paid for office edc.
