The Tuscan is a tribute to Extrema Ratio's region, Tuscany. This land is characterized by breathtaking landscapes, hills, mountains, cities, villages, rivers, and the Tyrrhenian Sea washing its coasts. Tuscany is also home to three out of six Italian military special forces, confirming the strategic importance and relevance of this territory at a national and international level.
The Extrema Ratio Tuscan is a multi-role knife that can be completely at ease in any type of environment. This knife stands out in military and tactical fields for its versatility in various contexts, such as surveillance and patrol operations. Its adaptability also makes it ideal for urban areas where it is necessary to move quickly and with agility. At the same time, Tuscan lends itself perfectly to outdoor, survival and bushcraft use.
The Tuscan is extremely easy to handle. It is characterized by a full tang blade in BOHLER N690 steel (58 HRC), lightened in several points beneath the handle (including a hole positioned in its center). This allows you to move the weight of the knife towards the tip, thus increasing the impact force and facilitating chopping and batoning operations. The blade allows you to carry out such different operations thanks to its particular grinding, thinner near the handle and thicker at the tip. While the tip area lends itself to chopping and batoning, the part near the handle is perfect for cutting.
The sharpening on the entire blade remains homogeneous. The pommel can also be used as a glass breaker. The handle is composed of 2 ergonomic grips featuring a new original Extrema Ratio design made of G10 material. This new handle allows the Tuscan to be used comfortably with both standard and reverse grip, suitable with or without gloves.
The ambidextrous Cordura sheath is equipped with a thigh strap to be attached to the side, and M.O.L.L.E system webbings for wearing it on tactical vests and generic belts. This is the black satin version (handle and sheath in black colour, satin blade)

Add to BasketI think this was the 4th Extrema Ratio knife I bought and it’s a stunner. The design is great and another unusual one. Built like a tank, with beautiful looking steel, almost like Damascus when close up. The sheath is also an excellent design with numerous configurations available. One of my favourites. It’s a lot of money but worth it.
