CRKT Venandi - Folding Knife 18

CRKT Venandi. Really nice looking Richard Rogers-designed modern slip joint folding knife. Its a nice price. It has a bead blast 8Cr13MoV stainless steel clip point blade. Super sharp, great shape and look. I love the layered black/brown G10 scales. The layered effect adds to the overall look and finish of this piece. It's slim, balanced, lightweight and a good length open/closed. The only gripe I have is minor and picky. The hexagonal shaped pivot and pins are nice touch. Distinctive and different. My gripe is that the pivot is off centre and with my OCD traits I can't unsee this, and it just looks off to me. With that said I still love the knife. Great compact and light piece that I can stow away in my pocket. Glad I've got it within my collection.

F&F is absolutely perfect which is too much to ask even on knives double the price of this nowadays. The recurve isn't as obvious in the pictures but it's a bit like a cross between a kukri and a trapper. Also looks the biz.

Overall very impressed with this knife for the reasons mentioned in the previous reviews. Mine had a couple of sharp edges on the scales, nothing a quick touch up with wet and dry couldn't sort and didn't detract from my favourable opinion of the knife

OK the steel isn't amazing but this is a great knife. Fit and finish spot on. Sharp out the box, lovely and light. Great looking as well. Highly recommend. Great quick service from Heinnie as well.

First of all I'd like to say this review doesn't reflect HH, their delivery is always fast along with fantastic customer service. The knife though...first impressions is it's very light. I'm used to Titanium which of course is heavier than G10, however this is a little too light. Secondly, the half stop is good and helpful and the spring tension is perfect. The part which isn't great is when you look down the spine the blade is uneven in consistancy, for example the ridge stops and goes square at different points instead of being symmetrical, this is probably down to the machining process and lack of QC on CRKT's end. I've also got a Boker City Tech Tool 1 and that's perfect. So, keep this in mind. Build quality is good and the knife looks good in general.
