It’s extremely rare to catch designer Richard Rogers of Magdalena, New Mexico without a pocket knife. So he designed the Symmetry everyday carry folding knife to go with him when more substantial blades call too much attention. The high carbon, stainless steel drop point blade is an effective yet understated 2.7” that folds into the symmetrical stainless steel handle. Glass-reinforced nylon accents in the handle pair with an aesthetic blue backspacer and clip elevate the look. With the IKBS ball bearing pivot system, the blade deploys smoothly and is disengaged with a classic slip joint.

Add to BasketThe correct way to open this knife is by one hand using your thumb to partially open it, then open it completely with your index finger. Then to close use index finger and close with your thumb. The reason it is difficult to open usual flipper way is for safety so it stays closed in your pocket.
I bought this knife as an EDC and as a work knife for light cutting. I found the blade to be excellent. Sharp out of the box and so easy to sharpen. Keeps a good cutting edge and has a beautiful design. My only gripe which is why I dropped a star is the flipper. Sometimes it opens brilliantly but sometimes you really have to concentrate. I just found it a little annoying at times. Overall a recommended knife. Great service and delivery options too.
My ideal edc. Light, easy to carry and sharp out of the box, although even better after a bit of work. The easy one hand opening is a big plus. Other alternatives were significantly heavier and I suspect they would be left at home whereas I take this everywhere.
Bit of side to side wobble. It's a detent/friction so 'lock' isn't solid, but also doesn't have any choil or somewhere to help stop it closing on the fingers. Is also very pointy. Very tempting to fidget with too when you know you shouldn't- the pointy is a problem there also.

HH have this on at less than £30 at the moment. It's a civilised non-aggressive looking light duty EDC which, being UK legal (blade length and non-locking) is ideal for keeping in a pocket or bag for those everyday things like breaking down or opening boxes, cutting string or packing bands etc. Due to the lack of lock, relatively soft detent and no cutout at the heel for a finger, I would not use it for camping or heavy garden/site work, but as a gentleman's EDC it's nice, and despite the "cooking" CrMoV steel it's very sharp out of the box and easy to keep sharp.
