Description

Designed by Darriel Caston of D Rocket Design, the CRKT MinimalX is an evolution of a knife originally made for SpaceX to commemorate a rocket launch. Darriel’s work caught the eye of someone in the company who commissioned him to make a custom series of knives for the crew. The MinimalX is all about fitting as much strength and durability into as small a package as possible, for a capable workaday carry you can use for anything —even in outer space.
 
The MinimalX is compact in all areas, with a closed length of just 7.9cm and a blade length of 5.5cm, but that doesn't mean it's not practical. The 12C27 Steel blade holds firmly in place on a solid frame lock, and despite it's size, the weighty feel in hand gives you confidence that this piece will stand the test of time.
