The CRKT Burnley Squid is a frame lock folding knife from designer Lucas Burnley of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Based on the concept of a compact carry, it's small in size and big on ability. Don't let the 2.25" blade fool you; this is a full-on, tactically inspired knife that's ready to take on your largest cutting challenges. By keeping it wide at nearly one inch and using the drop-point style, Burnley was able to give the blade a good balance of tip strength and point geometry for utility tasks, packing all the functionality of a full-size tac folder, into an easy to carry, compact design.

Available in either Blackwash or Stonewash finish

    Built like a tank

Posted by Chris on 5th Nov 2024

This knife is a little beast. I’m a fan of smaller knives so this is ideal for me. It has a nice bit of weight to it and feels super solid, especially the lock. Nice fidget factor as well if that’s one of your criteria.

    Chode of a knife

Posted by Ellis Lawley on 6th Apr 2024

Great knife over all if you’re looking for something small and sturdy for a pouch or just to drop in a bag as a secondary to something larger. Great edge out the box but action was very stiff, tiny bit of nano oil and slight adjustment to the pivot snd this thing rockets out with a thumb or reverse flick off the studs. Lock up is solid, no wiggle side to side or up and down.

    An excellent small knife

Posted by Vladimir Venkov on 4th Dec 2023

This is a very good small knife! Considering the price this is an amazing deal. It is very sturdy, the blade is perfectly cantered and there are no any blade wiggle. The smooth stainless steel of the handle feels amazing!

    Decent

Not the sharpest but useable and actions a bit stiff out of the box. Really good knife for not a lot of money, perfect little beater and 1st class service from HH

    Great Knife for EDC

Posted by Sam Marsh on 15th Jul 2022

Before buying the knife I had heard good things about the Squid. Aside from the small size it rides on washers which give it a "work horse" vibe, the blade is 8Cr13 (IMO needs to be more around Nitro-V quality) but the price reflects this. All I'd say is consider modifying this knife; ceramic bearings wouldn't go amiss. All in all it's a 10 out of 10.

    Great knife

Posted by Sam on 8th Jul 2022

Apart from a QC issue it's a great knife. Came without fault from factory but once I put it to use the blade stopped setting to centre and layed to the right a little...probably just needs an adjustment. Thank you HH for the 1 day delivery.

    CRKT SQUID

Posted by David Chandler on 8th Nov 2021

Theres a reason this is so popular, for the price you pay, its a truly excellent knife. From the design, the materials, the action, sharpness out of the box its quality all around. If your looking for your first knife you really can't go wrong, the black wash colour gives it that extra hint of personality too. The belt clips tight enough so you'll never loose it, the jimping on the top adds great grip when in use. The lanyard hole at the back is very practical too, a little piece of paracord tied in a knot here really aids the whole handed grip for flipping it open. Thumb studs are just the right placement to help the action, without being obtrusive. Just be aware like any new knife, it may be a little stiff out the box. I really can't recommend this enough, regardless of what knives are in your collection or edc everyone should have a squid in their life :)
