Natchez bowie
A favourable review. Can't find anywhere else to put it - very poor marketing by cold steel. This knife is a beast of a knife, I just had to have it for my collection, I will probably never use it. Pros mind blowing build quality, I am a big fan of Spartan blades which in my view are the best folders and fixed blades around, this knife is in the same category. It came razor sharp and I would be very reluctant to hit anything substantial with it that might affect the edge, which is consistent along the total of the blade, even the clip point is sharp enough to cut, watch your fingers. Probably the most powerful knife I will ever own, just admire. Cons. The handle made from smooth micarta imo should be shaped more for retention and fighting adjustments. However I have large very powerful hands which are more than adequate for using the knife if necessary and hanging to it. I am also very fit and strong for my age, OAP and this is a knife for my build if it were used in anger, in my case extremely unlikely short of a civil war, I was in conversation with a senior General recently and I asked him for his opinion on where the next world conflict might come from, and without hesitation he said Muslims versus Christian countries, we are he said fools letting the small boats land on our shores knowing nothing about the passengers who are almost entirely fighting age fit young men. I listened to some talking recently and they said, as soon as we have enough to do the job we will fight. Yet their goal was eventual peace and control under their rules. The knife fits as it is an example of the engineering and design involved. The knife has two significant faults, the rattly sheath, for another £50 I would have preferred a leather one. The other is the handle which is not ergonomically well designed. Jez.
