Cold Steel know a thing or two about the Tanto knife. All Cold Steel Tantos feature a deep lustrous satin finish on the hollow ground blade bevels and a contrasting line grain finish on the blade flats. This technique highlights their state of the art grinding methods and emphasizes the Cold Steel Tanto's unique appearance.

The Cold Steel Master Tanto 3V features the famous flattened oval Kraton handle. The oval shape provides a solid grip and resists rolling or twisting in the hand under hard use, the kind that, over time, would break a lesser knife. The use of Kraton in knife handles is another Cold Steel innovation. Kraton is an unparalleled space age material that won't crack or rot and is immune to the ravages of bad weather.

    I have always wanted to own a Cold Steel Master Tanto, and I can only say that I am happy as a hippy on LSD in finally purchasing this knife. Solid, Strong and Robust in construction. The only minor issue I have with the knife is the kydex sheath, which in my opinion does not grip and retain the knife itself when enclosed within it. Otherwise, I cannot fault it. It is a no nonsense, practical knife with an iconic shape, that stands out a mole from its competitors. Good thing.

    Cold Steel 15cm CPM 3V

    I have the same knife in 19cm in a black finish. The design and build of this knife is fantastic and they both perform very well. But I have to say in the bare steel this looks beautiful. This steel is strong and flexible 9look up the Cold Steel you tube vidoes). I have a modest collection of knives from high end steels to AUS steel and this is one of my favourites. Always great service from HH as well as good value.
