I am very impressed with this knife, razor sharp out of the box, feels very secure in my hand and sturdy. I have not given it hard use yet but it feels and looks like it would be up to it.

The Leatherneck Bowie has a wide bowie styled blade made from German D2 steel, and is 26.7cm (10.5 inches) long. Like the others in the Leatherneck series, it has a non-reflective black finish. It features a distinctive groove along most of its length, and of course it comes hair shaving sharp!
The Kray-Ex handle is based on Cold Steels other Leatherneck’s standard design but it is enhanced with a longer guard and forward curving quillons. It comes complete with a SecureEx sheath with fully detachable and ambidextrous belt loop.

This was my 1st purchase from Heinnie and what a knife!!! I weighs 1lb 1oz and the blade is 10.5 inches of German D2 steel. IT was razor sharp straight out of the box. I VERY carefully tested it shaving my forearm!!!! It's going to be one of my prized knives in my display cabinet unless civilisation collapses and world war 3 starts, in which case it will be my primary survival knife lol An amazing knife that puts virtually every other Bowie knife in the shade. Cold Steel showing that they aren't just about Tantos.
Excellent knife perfect size and weight and shaving sharp out the box
