Perfect bushcraft knife
I bought this as I love my trapper 95 but wanted something slightly bigger and tougher without being too big. This fits the bill perfectly. If you're not carrying an axe, this is a good size to do some splitting down. The steel takes a wickedly sharp edge and has brilliant edge retention even on hard use. It gives toughness and power for heavier tasks, but still has the sharpness and control to really perform well at finer tasks such as feather sticks. The handle is slightly beefier than the trapper and the blade slightly thicker. It's longer than my trapper without being unwieldy in the hand (although you can also get a trapper in this length). Be aware that the grind is not a true scandi as described. It is more of a sabre grind, or a high scandi with a small secondary bevel. This performs very well however and adds strength to the edge to reduce the chances of any chipping. Best steel I've used by far, really performs well. Ideal size for bushcraft with a balance between toughness and dexterity. It's also a work of art in itself and the handle is stunning.
