Ok but expected better...
Arrived with some visual imperfections that were quite disappointing to discover on opening. I expect better from the Brisa brand. The handle is shorter than I anticipated, despite checking stats before ordering. Not suited for larger hands. The scandi grind is uneven and the edge was not overly sharp out of the box... again, I expect better of Brisa and especially of this price point. The leather sheath looks to be a decent quality but there's a metal pin at the bottom... the blade will inevitably start to rub against metal after extended use. Even though my knife isn't stored in the sheath and has only been drawn 3-4 times, some of the factory bluing on the blade has worn off from sheathing it. Hopefully a patina will disguise this down the line. A cheaper, synthetic sheath with a loop to secure blade in place would actually be more practical for field-use. As it is, this knife-in-sheath combo really is limited to campsight use. I've had much cheaper camp knives that have neater grinds, sharper edges and just feel to be a better quality blade overall. The only reason I've not returned it is becuase there are no structural flaws and I'll eventually even out the grind myself but I wish there were because I'm not impressed. As such, I do not recommend the Brisa Nessmuk.
