Description

Brisa are a Finnish company who know a thing or two about decent blades! All their knives come from a background where your knife is your best buddy and a tool that is going to keep you alive in the wilds.

The Brisa Necker 70 is a compact fixed blade designed to be worn around your neck to perform those everyday tasks that a larger blade would struggle with. This version has a flat grind perfectly suited to food prep with attractive red micarta handle scales. The blade is 12C27 Swedish steel sharpened to a hair splitting level. It extends the length of the knife in a full tang form giving extraordinary strength. A brass ring lined lanyard hole means you can make the knife your own with a lanyard of your choice.

    Great knife, useless sheath

Posted by Patrick Mallinson on 12th Nov 2025

The knife itself is really good, feels nice in the hand, came sharp, quality is very good for the price. I bought it for the thin flat grind to field clean mushrooms, it does an excellent job. The sheath on the other hand is terrible. The leather isn't the right shape or depth, and the micarta is very smooth. It sits high up on your belt which makes it prone to tilting backwards and sliding out. I've had to fish the knife out of the side of the car seat a couple of times, or pick it up off the floor in the woods. I know this isn't considered an expensive knife to a lot of people, but I don't want to lose £50 just because I crouched down in the woods, or have to constantly keep my attention on it. Anyway, they sell other models of this knife with what looks to be a more updated sheath with button strap to secure the knife, buy one of those instead. The knife is good, avoid the sheath.
