Description

The Boker Plus Sprocket, designed by Henning Marxen is quite literally a folding knife with a twist. This unique knife pairs clean lines and minimalist design with a new and creative opening mechanism. Embodying the synergy of gears in a well-oiled machine, the Sprocket opens on two neatly crafted quarter cogs shaped into the base of the blade and the G10 handle.

Crafted with a D2 cleaver shaped blade sporting a puristic stonewash finish, the Sprocket offers smooth opening, facilitated by a large thumb hole. The creative detent-slipjoint mechanism makes this a UK legal carry that has a firm and tactile 'click' in and out of the open position without locking.

The Sprocket's most striking attribute is its double-joint design with a two-piece handle. This unique construction allows the blade to fold perfectly in on itself, transforming the chunky cleaver shaped blade into a compact and portable carry.

    BOKER PLUS SPROCKET FOLDING KNIFE

Posted by Clive Redston on 6th Jan 2026

To my mind this is without doubt one of the best pocket knife designs for every day carry available in the UK. It scores highly in the 'non threatening' looks department, which should remove any possible objection for general use in public spaces or occasional use in formal work environments for example. In many cases traditional knife designs tho they may also be UK legal, could be interpreted primarily as a weapon depending on factors such as circumstance and lack of relevant knowledge of training ( if you brandish any object in a threatening manner in public, particularly a bladed one, you probably deserve what's coming right ?! ) This innovative, out of the box thinking folding knife is ideal for carrying in your jeans ( 5th ) watch pocket, and is practically impossible to fold back in use making it very safe. It retains a useful heft despite its handy size and low weight, and has a very sharp blade straight from the box. As either a primary carry or as back-up to a larger blade, I thoroughly recommend!

    Boker Plus Sprocket.

There is only one YouTube review of this knife. It's great to see some innovation in non locking UK friendly market. It's definitely not a gimmick, rather a safe to use mini chopper, handy for many tasks in at home, in the city, and the outdoors.

    Quirky but fun

Posted by Gary Smith on 15th May 2025

Yep it's definitely quirky but in a good way I've been carrying it in my fifth pocket and it's so unobtrusive I forgot it was there and it went through a full cycle wash with no problems I put a drop or two of fine oil on moving parts and it's working perfectly and very clean too.buy one as a fifth pocket carry you won't be disappointed.

    Boker Plus sprocket

Posted by Cumbrian rambler on 16th Aug 2024

Excellent knife, with an unusual action. It may look a bit like a cheese knife but I certainly would not like to get food in the gears of this folder. Excellent comfortable grip with ones thumb on the spine or along side the blade but not with ones index finger along the spine of the blade. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

    Boker plus sprocket

Posted by Alex Dermietzel on 24th Jan 2024

Just took delivery of this so it may be a little early to comment. It's built like a tank though, has near flawless build quality and is exceptionally fun to fiddle with trying all the different ways to open it. One thing to bare in mind is that it is next to impossible to open this knife one handed if you're using your left hand. It's very small when folded, however once opened it is surprisingly comfortable in the hand fitting my large hands completely. There is absolutely no way this is going to close up on your fingers in use and with it being D2 and chisel ground, you could get some serious work done with this knife. I'd say this alongside my most satisfying knife purchase for a while alongside my ukpk salt. For the price, you really can't go wrong with this one ?

    Unusual knife

Posted by Jim Norbury on 10th Jan 2024

I'm a collector of small pocket tools and knives especially the unusual and this fits the bill, nice looking and strong. I only rated it 4 as I would have preffered it to be a little smaller.
