The Boker Plus Caracal Folder 42 by Boris Manasherov has been very popular since its introduction.
this is a non-locking slipjoint folder. It features is a locking pin that secures the blade open if so desired. The pin sits in the spacer on the handle back and can be inserted into the hole on the side of the handle, fixing the blade securely. Spring-loaded ballbearings hold the pin firmly in both positions.
The knife has all the features of the Caracal models: solid steel plates with pleasantly contoured G10 scales, a D2 blade and a reversible stainless pocket clip. Also features a stainless steel handle butt and lanyard hole.

What a nice knife. Oddball, a slipjoint this size, but the locking-pin is a really nice touch. At a pinch, could this replace your 'standard' 8" fixed blade? Convenient to carry and really well-made. Not a log-splitter but a good-size, all round camp knife.. Postie put the package in my hand, 24 hours and 37 minutes after ordering.....
