Boker Arbolito Esculta Ebony Fixed blade 18

A very well made and engineered knife, excellent for chopping wood with a lovely grippy handle.

Really pleased with this knife. If you are "bushcraft" fan or someone looking for something "tactical" this is probably not for you. This is more of a traditionally styled, general purpose / utility knife. Build quality and sheath are top notch. Only slight gripe is that it was not particularly sharp out of the box, but this is very easily fixed.

Held back on reviewing this one until i was sure. Blade is sharp out of the box, easy to sharpen, very aesthetically pleasing, sheath is stellar one of the best i have ever seen and smelled! Cons: Fit and finish is lacking, Boker Argentina do NOT compare with Boker Germany. Liners are not flush, guard and handle scales have gaps, swedge is not symmetrically ground on both sides, edge is sharp but also poorly ground in terms of symmetry and finally this wood doesn't do well in Europeen climate, began by drying very aggressively on me ( but did not crack ) and then once it contacted water again started to rot ( Luckily i treated it in time ). Despite the long list of con's and mediocre mark i am pleased with it, but do know what your getting yourself into before you buy, in Europe it will be more of a show piece than a performer. Also Boker Argentina is clearly more hand made than Boker Germany ( heavily automatized machines). Heinnie is great website with exelent service 5/5

The Esculta is beautifully made in Argentina. Blade inc. ricasso, just under 6.5". Chunky handle 5" long. Stock 6.25mm. Balance point, .25" behind the guard. All specs. approx. This Boker Arbolito Esculta arrived with the best quality leather scabbard, of any production fixed, I have ever seen. Note the stud fastener. It also has a high/low belt position. I am very happy with my purchase.
