This skinning-style blank is ideal for honing your skills as a knife maker. It’s supplied with a brass guard and holed tang, ready for fitting to the handle of your choice. From spring steel, this blank will be straightforward to finish.
The bowie style blade is 25cm in length with a 23cm cutting edge. The tang is 14cm in length.
When handled, the tool will need finishing and sharpening – the factory edge is decent, but not as sharp as it could be in the finished article.

Big sturdy bowie blade. I do not know the type of steel, but it produces a good resonance when it is hhit. About the customer service: impecable. Keep uup the good work, guys! I will be ordering from your site in the future.

This blade would have been good value had it not been for the centre blade grind resembling a pissed up snake a knife for display purposes I don't think so! Unless this was a second.
Obviously a budget item, and if you're picky it shows in the contouring and polishing. It's a good looker however, and takes a good edge. The recurve (top) edge is not ground all the way to the centreline, but has a flat along it. I notice one other reviewer said it was bigger than spec'd. It is in fact exactly the specified size.
Great blade excellent finish very sharp out of the box will make a fine knife when I have made a handle for it as previous review noted you make a bespoke handle to your own design that is what will make this knife so good be adventurous and put your own stamp on it and make it something special as per usual heinnie Haynes delivery was excellent I will always by from them .
great finish size is as described found it a bit hard to get scales to fit at 140 lth but otherwise realy impressed thank s will soon buy another project damascus next
