The Benchmark Slipjoint is a budget UK friendly carry folder to throw in your pack or stick in your pocket for those low down dirty jobs most other knives would turn their noses up to. The blade opens with one hand and has a mid stop point and is black coated to help prevent corrosion. The handle is a two tone, black and red G10 which is not only very resilient to hard use and weather but also looks pretty good. A black coated stainless pocket clip is attached for easy carry.

    Don’t Bother

Posted by Owain Taylor on 24th Nov 2021

This knife arrived in the post today, to say it’s rubbish is an understatement! Pain on the pocket clip is wearing already (when I took it out of the box). I knew the quality wasn’t going to be good based on the price but this is beyond, I would go as far as to say it’s dangerous. Amazing service from HH as always! Can’t fault Hennie!

    Benchmark Slipjoint

Posted by Rob Wilson on 14th Oct 2021

Perfect cheap-and-cheerful little daily-carry knife to use for those down-and-dirty jobs where you may not want to risk a more expensive knife. Does exactly what it says on the tin.

    Simple basic and cheap

its as easy as that, simple micarta, simple cheap blade, Uk frierndly so it ticks all the boxes really, not a razor but then I didnt expect it to be.

    Why?

Posted by Jonathan Miles on 24th Aug 2021

Why would Benchmark make this? First of all, the handle? Yeah. That is the lowest grade plastic imaginable. It is rough, dangerous when wet and very brittle. The blade? The only way I can describe it is by likening it to a film. This blade is, in film terms, Indiana Jones 4. It's a cheap, flimsy, useless, joyless, soulless imitation of a low priced Schrade. It's blunt, brittle, flimsy and can't even open a box. Is this at all the fault of Heinnie? NO. It was delivered early and in mint condition. Which makes this even more embarrassing for Benchmark. Go spend your £10/15 on something more worthwhile than this... which is anything.

    don't bother

Posted by Daniel Power on 20th Mar 2021

at first it looks a nice little knife, and for the price I thought I'd go for it. blunt doesn't begin to describe it with a pretty uneven grind to it, even after about an hour to an hour and a half with a 70 grit stone I cant get a good edge on it and what little edge it does get doesnt last at all. not worth the money.

    Mediocre quality

Posted by Pete on 15th Mar 2021

Pros: Very strong back spring, excellent notchy half stop, if you manage to close this on your fingers you’re getting cut but not seriously thanks to the strength of the spring and lovely notchy half stop, lightweight, strong pocket cup Cons: craftsmanship/fit and finish isn’t good, mine arrived with chipped paint on pocket clip, gaps along back spring, gap is wider at blade end (suspect Teflon washers are too thick) Blade chipped on the belly, inconsistent edge (almost no edge has been ground towards the top, dull blade, Overall: Impeccable service from HH , would prefer to see this below/closer to the £10 mark as it is

    Poor quality/received damaged

Posted by Alec on 9th Mar 2021

Blade was damaged when received. A chunk of metal approx 3mm in length was missing and a crack visible along the length of the blade. Returned for a replacement

    Cheap little knife

Posted by Michael Nielsen on 12th Feb 2021

For the price I really like this knife, keep it clipped to the inside pocket of my fleece (cheap enough that I'm not going to cry if it goes missing), sharpness is ok not brilliant, looks are a bit Marmite.
