Benchmade 537GY-1 Bailout Folding Knife 18

A great knife, consistently one of my favourite to carry and use out of my collection. My first M4 steel knife, and it's proven to be fantastic is getting and retaining an edge. The coating on the blade has withstood use to help maintain its corrosive resistance. Super smooth opening/closing action. The only thing worth mentioning and considering is that the scales do get very cold during the winter. The finish on the handles also wears of a lot more easily. I'll still be buying another though..

Awesome knife! I was debating between Super Freak and Bailout. Decided to go with Bailout. Wasn't disappointed. Only thing I was afraid on this knife is that it was too thin opposed to Freak. But it was just fine. Can hardly tell the difference between let's say Paramilitary and Bailout when in hand. Love the Tanto blade and it's awesome that it's in M4. Used it a bunch, can't even tell.

Very sharp from factory. Striking look too. Feels very solid in the hand and will serve you well. Tanto point is very good for opening packages (which mine Is primarily occupied with) and other practical tasks.

Just had this over a week now and it’s really good. The action out of the box was really good. Very slim and centred perfectly. Very light and you forget you have it. The only modification I might do is buy a glass breaker delete at some point but not major. The Tanto blade is very good. Big thanks as ever to everyone at HH. They are an amazing company to buy from and deal with. Customer service second to none. Love this knife so much I’m now looking at the Bugout!

I was so excited to see this knife in stock and I wasn’t disappointed when it arrived, perfect fit and finish with no blade play what so ever and hair popping sharp, would highly recommend

I fell in love with the look of this knife the second I saw it, but didn't know if I wanted to spend that much on a knife. After buying the presidio a few weeks ago, I pulled the trigger and got this too, and it's great. It cuts through everything I've tried with minimal effort and has only needed a light touch-up sharpen after 5 straight days. My only issue is that it's very thin. The pictures don't give a good idea of how thin it is but it's about as thick as my phone (galaxy s10 in a case) which is good for hot days wearing lightweight shorts, but I wouldn't be willing to put it through really hard-use tasks

It’s really really good. The axis release/locking mechanism needs to loosen up a little which it will inevitably do over time. Once it does, wow. The best quick release/close system I have ever used by a long way. The blade is a little laborious to sharpen because it’s so hard but stays sharp for a long time despite heavy use on wood and everyday tasks. The tanto blade makes it ideal for prying and other heavy duty tasks. Amazing performer for such a light package.

Ordered the benchmade bailout one dinner time boom it arrived the next day. The knife is as promised light weight and strong, its the dogs... I'd recommend this knife and the 5 star service of heinnie Haynes to anyone.

Bought to go in my military rig, required a knife that was solid and ergonomic for use with everyday tasks, the reviews where outstanding for this blade so took the hit. I am amazed at the blade quality, the edge is phenomenal, and the overall knife just feels so ridiculously light and solidly build. The axis lock is outstanding and is better then the mini griptillian I already have. The addition of the window punch on the hilt is a great touch, would probably use the one on my Leatherman Raptors first but good to know I have two to hand quickly and easily if required.
