Bear and Son Aluminium Slip Joint Large 18

It's a nicely proportioned knife let down by two rather annoying 'faults' . First of all the belt clip (on mine) is so tight as to be practically un useable . It is almost impossible to clip into a denim jean pocket and a two handed job to get it out ! A tight clip is good if you don't want to lose your knife but this one is TIGHT , you can't even get a piece of writing paper between the clip and the body of the knife. I will try to give it a 'little bend' to loosen it up. The other issue is the lanyard hole has a pretty sharp edge that might cut through whatever is threaded through there. I'm sticking with it as I like the overall look of it and in purple it's a nice addition to my modest collection.

Overall happy with item with one detail. I had to file down the scale end of the blade as it scratched my hand when closed and clipped in pocket, but it is a neat carry knife

A fabulous looking knife. Well made and very sharp. The action is smooth and simple. The scales are flat making it easy to carry without being obvious!

This knife ticks all the boxes for me ., and as a bonus it is UK legal. Arrives promptly as usual, , looks good without being threatening . Sharp OTB . A good price. This is very hard to fault. To be really picky I had to fit a split ring to attach para cord to make the knife visible (as the attachment is a bit narrow ) as I lose stuff in the garden regularly!

Cannot switch clip so, being a leftie, that's a problem right away (and it also means it's no longer one hand opening). I know I should've paid more attention but there's no explicit "right hand only" so a little irritated by that. Blade not very sharp out of box - looking at earlier reviews, I hoped for much better. Noisy when opening, which suggests pivot isn't all that smoothly designed. And attempting to dismantle so I could investigate, clean, etc. 3 of the torx screws aren't loosening so either designed not to take off or stripped thread. It's cheap, I grant you but I'd expect functional even at this price. HH delivery, as always, ludicrously quick / completely flawless.

Couldn't believe it this morning, ordered late afternoon on the Monday & on the doorstep first thing Tuesday excellent service from H H, I searched thru all the UK friendly knives and read the reviews and decided on the bear & sons and I am not disappointed, straight out of the box you can feel it's well made & sharp, I'll be putting this wee edc thru it's paces and going by the build quality I see no reason for it to fail

Just recieved this little knife in the post and my first impressions are WOW. I have fallen into the trap of paying £100 plus for a UK legal sorry friendly knife. Then I saw this and liked it very much. Very sharp out of the box. High carbon steel not super hard life depend steel but good enough to open letters and cut string. I will update when I've used it a bit more but so far dont spend hundreds on a piece of jewelry to look good,buy 4 of these.
