The Ettrick started life as a small gutting knife, reputedly designed by the Earl of Wharncliffe and his gamekeeper! Due to its comfortable handle and short blade it has since become a great general purpose pocket knife, easy to carry and particularly popular among wood workers, wood carvers and gardeners.
Made in Sheffield, UK the Arthur Wright Ettrick has an Oak handle, brass liners, nickel silver bolsters and a carbon steel blade.

Add to BasketI am happy with this the knife is made but I have a few small issues! For 1 the spring is really strong and is hard on the nails to open ! The other was that the comfort of the handle in the hand, it wasn’t! with the edges being so square ! And also there was only a made in Sheffield stamp on it he blade and not an A Wright stamp!?! I would have liked it marked by the maker at least?
